Launch of EarthSayers.tv, the voices of sustainability

A group of us who have been marketing technology since the early 80’s are applying our expertise to help increase the U.S. awareness of sustainability. As part of a sustainability initiative within our direct marketing company, RED Direct, we created a prototype Web environment at www.earthsayers.tv. We saw a need and decided to fill it.

EarthSayers is a Website dedicated to the sustainability movement. The .tv denotes we feature the voices of sustainability, audio and video from across the Web, not print. We aggregate content from over twenty channels including YouTube and Blip.tv and unlike any other site, in addition to focusing on sustainability, we cover multiple formats ranging from documentaries to news to lectures to interviews.

We will be seeking sponsors to build out a community or network of EarthSayers, people from all walks of life who are committed to sustainable principles and practices at home, work, and in their communities.

Dear EthicsMaven, I have just completed a whitepaper, "Branding Sustainability: The Fourth "B" that recommends applying the Technology Adoption Lifecycle model, modified, as a branding model for sustainability and the new media. The model has relationship marketing at the center of efforts, rather than a transaction focus. It is our guide in developing our project, earthsayers.tv, the voices of sustainability.

The four B's are borrowed from an excellent presentation by Mark Lee, CEO of SustainAbility, and they are: boards, business models, balance sheets, and brands.

There is an excerpt of my paper at www.earthsayerlive.com and directions to call or email me for a copy.

Mark's presentation will be on earthsayers.tv, but in the meantime, blip.tv/file/1033169

Thanks for the encouragement. Ruth Ann a.k.a. mokiethecat.
